Pinna has been hired by the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium to support decision makers in understanding how to respond to the impacts of climate change. As the ability to adapt is dependent on an informed, science-based understanding of the challenges ahead, this project aims to establish the state of the available knowledge regarding extreme precipitation and Atmospheric Rivers (ARs) impacting British Columbia, and clearly communicate how climate change is expected to alter the characteristics of ARs impacting western North America.
